UNIFORM LIST

We have tried to make the information here as explicit as possible. If parents are in any doubt, then they should contact the school for clarification.   All items must be clearly named.

With badge.  Students in Years 10 and 11 may wear the regulation barrathea blazer of dark navy colour only.

This should not be tapered or worn with only the thin part showing, include at least 7 dark stripes, a sensible sized knot, with top button done up.

Long sleeved blouse (no pockets).  Short sleeved, white blouses with the School logo may be worn in the summer term with tie.  All shirts should be worn tucked in.

Inverted pleat.  Skirts should NOT be tapered and should NOT be more than 2cm above the knee or 5cms below the knee.

Knee length

During the winter, black tights (denier between 40 and 70) should be worn, but no other colour will be permitted.  In the summer term, traditional white ankle socks (no trainer socks) or flesh-coloured tights may be worn. 

Navy blue for Years 7-9, grey for Years 10-11, regulation school design.

Black, plain, low heel (no higher than 2 inches) and a style suitable for school.  Leather.  NOT SUEDE OR PATENT.

Hair longer than shoulder length should be tied back at all times.  Only dark coloured slides, hair bands or hair ribbons are permitted.  HAIR MUST NOT BE DYED OR BRAIDED.

Make up (including nail varnish) and jewellery is NOT permitted.  Girls with pierced ears may wear small plain studs or sleepers, one in each ear lobe.  No other form of body piercing is permitted.

Extreme lengths (less than a grade 3) and styles are not permitted.  HAIR MUST NOT BE DYED OR BRAIDED.  Boys are expected to be clean shaven.

ALL STUDENTS

House polo shirts in 3 colours are available at £15.00 each.

They may be purchased in the House colours: RED - Roman, BLUE - Trojan and YELLOW - Spartan.  They will have the school crest and printed surname embroidered on the front as well as the House name on the back.



GENERAL

Bags must be strong enough to protect text/exercise books.  PE kit should be brought in a separate bag.  Lockers are provided for all students, but these cannot accommodate large sports holdalls. 

Calculator: a "scientific" model. The Casio FX85ES-s is available from school, price £8.50.

A clip board is required for field studies.

Chambers Dictionary, available from school, price £5.99.

Geometry set, preferably Helix Achiever

IDENTIFICATION

It is essential that every item of clothing, footwear and other equipment is clearly marked, preferably with recognised name tapes.
